How to Make 50K a Year Selling Ebooks on Amazon (The REAL Secret Is Simple)

Who else would love to make amazing money writing books for Amazon? Do you secretly wish for fame, fortune and the desire to SPEAK to the world? Perhaps you have an inspiring message that you consider essential to share? Or maybe you just want an easy way to expand your influence, grow your audience, and reach MORE people on the biggest publishing platform on the planet?

The truth is, whether your motivation is MONEY, meaning, marketing, or something else entirely, you CAN and should self-publish books, documents, and content for Kindle.

The funny thing is, there are SO many secret strategies, gurus, gimmicks and gadgets that promise you fame and fortune if ONLY you can follow their system, while the REAL secret is much simpler than you think. can imagine it.

Here are the 2 big takeaways I’ve learned from writing my own books…and helping clients do the same quickly and easily.

1 – Write in multiples or in series. The truth is, cross-selling books is the SECRET to long-term success on Amazon, or self-publishing in general. Yes, you can get lucky and have a ONE shot wonder and do just fine. But small, consistent sales across multiple titles are the REAL key to long-term publishing profits…and every time you sell ONE book, you’re very likely to sell more in your catalog, especially if your readers appreciate what they have just read! (which is obviously your first priority when posting 🙂

2 – Focus on SPEED and a system. I describe everything using what I call a “content building block”. I break my whole topic down into easy to understand chapters…and then drill down to make sure my content is covered, in a way that’s easy to read and understand.

3 – Don’t try to “dump the data” of everything you know about a niche, hobby, or industry into a single book. Break it down into multiple products or multiple volumes and make each book comprehensive on ONE specific solution, strategy, or area.

4 – Do the math before writing your books! For example, if you want to make $50,000 a year on Amazon, that SEEMS daunting and “too good to be true” when you look at it at face value. Instead, think MATH, not marketing. Selling 5 books at 2.99 a day is very, very simple to do in most niches under the sun. 5 books a day will get you around $12. When you scale this 365 days a year, you can reasonably expect a book to generate around 5,000 EVEN if it’s an unknown bestseller and NOT and you just get by overall “ok”.

But, when you realize you really can write a 15,000 word book every 10 days with EASE…and you start focusing on the MATH, writing 10 books a year will give you your goal, even if nothing what you write NEVER makes the headlines, or becomes famous.

The truth is, I’ve written over 5000 articles like this over the years – probably enough to fill 200 books – while also running a real business. It’s NOT hard and can be done in a few hours a day, and believe me when I tell you, if you love writing and having something to say, it’ll be the EASIEST money you’ve ever made and a whole lot of fun to boot!
