Myrtle Weinstein was Boobala Darling’s childhood friend when they both lived on Myrtle Avenue in Brooklyn. Myrtle married Henry Rosenberg. Boobala was her bridesmaid, then Boobala married Harry Darling. Myrtle and Boobala stayed in touch, even though they were estranged throughout their lives, at least until Henry died in a tragic car accident. Regardless of the fact that Boobala was enduring her own share of misfortune with Harry, she immediately went to comfort her dearest friend Myrtle. From that day on, the bond of friendship rekindled, until Boobala faced his own tragedy regarding Harry. Anyway, they always kept in touch with each other.

I have good news for you
I just received a telegram
That said I won a cruise
I can’t believe it Myrtle,
]It’s like a dream come true
Oh what should I do?
Now I’m really worried
