Not much really, other than the fact that said demon child will also no longer think anything you do, suggest, think, or wear is a good idea, and will constantly roll its mean little eyes at you to make sure that you are aware of your faults. In other words, mom or dad, don’t bother planning a great birthday party for your child that involves Barbies, animals, cartoon characters, princesses, or anything else made by Disney, except maybe Hillary Duff, but that’s a different story now that she’s all grown up, and IMHO, part of the problem. Now you’re sitting there thinking ‘What the hell am I going to do?’, ‘That bitter woman scared me!’, ‘Is Susie really going to turn into a freak overnight? ?’ Fortunately, my friend, the answer is “maybe”. So better smile and prepare for the worst just to be safe. Coming up with a plan for your daughter’s birthday that might give you a minute or two of “freshness” in your child’s eyes, and maybe even warrant a real smile from his face rolling his eyes and his mouth singing “oh my god mum”.
